*Chocolate Star Cat's Eye Tourmaline Beaded Bracelet*
This piece contains high grade, smooth, round, excellent luster and polish 7
mm to 8 mm natural Chocolate Tourmaline beads (with beautiful chatoyancy star
Cat's Eye effect) strung on elastic stretch cord for increased strength and
durability. The stone pieces in this bracelet are hand picked to ensure the
best quality.
Features of this bracelet: High quality gemstones, simple, minimalist,
uniform, and of course stackable!
Original piece shown in photography may be sold out or unavailable. We will
recreate your bracelet using the same type of stone, size and quality as
depicted in the original piece. While we will do our best to be precise and
consistent to the original photography, some beads have unique design, pattern
and coloration, so slight variation should be expected.
Please note that some beads in this strand set contain slight surface
irregularities which some consider a flaw.
Scientifically, Tourmaline is not a single mineral, but a group of minerals
with related physical and chemical properties. Tourmaline belongs to a complex
family of aluminum borosilicates mixed with magnesium, iron and other various
metals that depending on the proportions and components, make up their color.
Tourmaline occurs in all colors and is most well known for its pinks, reds,
greens and blues, as well as its multicolored variety. Black Tourmaline is the
most common species accounting for 95% of all Tourmaline in nature and it is
called Schorl. The red or pink variety of Tourmaline is called Rubellite, the
blue variety is called Indicolite, and the red and green variety is called
Watermelon Tourmaline. The value of Tourmaline has a large range; the most
expensive and valuable form is the rare neon-blue known by its trade name
Paraiba Tourmaline. Tourmaline aids in understanding oneself and others.
Tourmaline diminishes fears and promotes self power and self confidence.
Tourmaline is said to release tension, enhance energy, and remove obstacles.

Thread preference:
• Stretch floss is made up of multiple strands of stretch material woven
together and can provide incredible stretch and recoil, while being less likely
to permanently stretch out. It is not as strong as elastic cord, and frequently
worn bracelets using stretch floss will generally need to be restrung at least
once a year.
• Elastic cord is a transparent, singular, rubbery thread that is stronger
than stretch floss but does not have as much stretch and recoil potential,
making it more prone to breakage and permanently losing its elasticity when
stretched to its limit. Elastic cord offers strength, durability and longevity,
while stretch floss provides versatility and pliancy.
• It is recommended to restring bracelets at least every 1-2 years to maintain
strength and elasticity.
