Japanese Decoupage Bead Bracelet

The center bead of this bracelet was made by a Japanese friend of mine. She
takes plain wooden beads and decoupages them with very expensive Japanese
decorative papers. The entire process is quite labor intensive and it takes
days just to make one bead. I bought this bead from her to use as the focal
point for my European bead bracelet. The bead is covered in a beautiful paper
with an intricate design; the colors used in the paper are a deep tropical
water blue and white. To compliments this bead, I added mottled light and dark
blue art glass European beads with sterling shanks, and antique silver tone
beads. This bracelet has two silver tone "stops" at the end to keep the beads
in place; the beads do not slide around. These bead stops are silver tone and
shaped like tiny butterflies. The chain and the clasp are made of silver tone
metal. The clasp is a lobster style clasp. This bracelet is adjustable and can
be anywhere from 6-1/4" to 8-1/4" in length.
