Vintage Art Deco Sterling Silver & Onyx Geometric Screw Back Earrings

For sale is this eye catching pair of vintage earrings dating from the Art
Deco era. The earrings feature shaped onyx stones bezel set into sterling
silver. The clean lines, geometric design and screw backs are in keeping with
the style of the late 1920's, early 1930's Art Deco period. The earrings are
stamped on the back Hecho Mexico (Made In Mexico), DF for Distrito Federal
(Mexico City), 925 (Sterling Silver Purity), JP. During the early to mid 20th
century the silver jewellery industry was thriving in Mexico as a result of the
influence of William Spratling, sometimes referred to as the 'Father Of Mexican
Silver'.

The earrings each measure 2cm by 1.6cm. They are in very good vintage
condition with fully working screw backs, no dents or dings and just light
surface wear/tarnish in keeping with age. Stunning!
